Two Exclusive NBC Sneak Peaks of .07%

NBC showed two exclusive sneak peaks of Monday’s episode Chapter 19 “.07%”. The first clip is additional footage of Linderman’s discussion with Nathan regarding his future where the title “.07%” comes into play and we’re showing the painting “A President Stands Alone”. The second clip is Nathan coming home to find Peter dead. One shock leads to the next as Claire walks into the room. You can view the clips below:

On Set With the Nakamuras

The folks over at ZAP2it had a nice little sneak peak into the filming of Chapter 22 “Landslide” back in March and have shared a few spoilers with their readers regarding events to come with Hiro and his father Kaito Nakamura. I’ve highlighted some of the goods below:

Hiro Nakamura enters a dusty, dimly lit sword shop in a less-than-savory looking corner of New York. He’s wearing a samurai-style robe. He looks around and says something in Japanese. I’m not sure what the translation is, but I do know the sentence contains the words “Ando” and “Sylar.” At the end of the scene his dad walks in — also wearing samurai gear. Oka allows that “what you’re seeing here is kind of the end of the Karate Kid training montage — Hiro gets his ass whooped but eventually comes back.” Takei all but confirms - “I’ve discovered also that I’ve had powers, and some of my colleagues that I fought with for good — I have a line with them where I say, ‘The Nakamura family has always fought for good, tried to be the wind behind the course of history.’ But some of my colleagues went off the good road.” He says with a laugh “I talk about the Nakamura family guiding history toward good, but yeah: What is ‘good,’ in my definition?”

Clips for Chapter 19 “.07%” (YATA!)

NBC has FINALLY released clips for Chapter 19 “.07%” which returns in less than a week (the wait has been unbearable but we’ve made it so far). There are six clips in all (and none are repeats of the Myspace clip or the opening minutes on the contest site - all new stuff). You can view the clips (along with some sound bites and a behinds the scenes clip) at the EPK NBC page or watch the six clips via YouTube embedded below.

The clips are:

  • Nathan and Linderman talk about the future. He and Nathan are looking at a picture of Hiro with the sword (not the Isaac painting with the dino). Nathan says he knows him to which Linderman responds, “good, tell him I want my sword back”.
  • Claire and Angela Petrelli discussing the family while Claire is looking at a picture of Peter and Nathan. She wants to ship Claire off to Paris for protection.
  • Isaac gives the last volume of Ninth Wonders to someone (either a collector or publisher) and also gives him the journal (the one he drew Peter and Simone kissing in the rain in) and says it may be worth something some day.
  • Niki/Jessica and DL discussing Micah. DL is aware its not Niki and threatens to take Micah away if she involves him with Linderman.
  • Jessica and Linderman discuss Micah to which she refuses to hand him over “send whomever you want, you’re not touching my son!”
  • HRG and Matt prisoners at Primatech. He wakes Matt up via thoughts and tells him that The Company plans on killing them as soon as the order comes.

Chapter 21 Explores Sylar’s Background

Kristin ran into Zachary Quinto this past weekend and he had the following to say about Chapter 21 “The Hard Part”:

You get to see a whole other side of him [Sylar] in episode 21, which was such a joy for me to explore. You get to see a lot more about where he comes from and what drives him and what he’s fighting against in a lot of ways. I think he’s definitely misunderstood—he’s like a lost soul. And I got to work with the incomparable Ellen Greene—she might play my mom, but I’m not going to say that for sure…

Yet ANOTHER New Preview (bring em on!)

NBC posted another new (but shorter) preview on the official site. Future Hiro and Ando go to Niki looking for Peter, she responds “You still trying to stop an exploding man?”

Extended Preview for Chapter 19 (and 20) on MySpace

MySpace has an extended version of the last preview which shows a lot more stuff including a few surprises for the ’shippers. Essentially they added some more clips from Chapter 20 “Five Years Gone” in which we see President Petrelli, Matt kicking HRG’s ass, Peter flinging someone against the wall, Claire smooching with some guy we’ve never seen before (some are speculating it’s future Zach but obviously not played by Dekker), and two other characters smoochin that we never saw coming.

Check it out at MySpace or check out the YouTube version below which ANDO from 9th Wonders has slowed down a bit to see the faster clips better.

TV Guide Spoilers For .07 Percent

The TV Guide blog has posted a few spoilery tidbits for Chapter Nineteen “.07 Percent” - well a few spoilers and a few confirmations of things we’ve already kinda guessed about. Here’s da sitch:

  • The dense first 15 minutes are simply thrilling, capped by a Sylar-Peter showdown that I can only liken to the song “Dueling Banjos.” You’ll wish it lasted longer, but… it doesn’t.
  • A new painting is unveiled, this time shedding light on Nathan’s fate.
  • There’s a funny wink to the practice of spoiling TV shows such as Heroes. They all but mention Ausiello by name. (Mike will like that I said that. Hi, Mike!)
  • A certain sect of “sick” ’shippers get themselves a sweet moment.
  • Lotsa Matt Parkman!
  • Ali Larter? Never looked hotter.
  • Mama Petrelli does not deserve a visit from the FTD man on May 13.
  • Hiro and Ando surface late in the game - or very, very late, depending on how you look at it - but when they do… well, just as you may find yourself wondering, “Oh yeah, whatever happened to…?” you get your answer. And… we fade to black.

So looks like the Peter / Sylar fight is gonna be good but probably not as long as some fanboys hoped it to be. The painting we know will be “A President Stands Alone” which shows Nathan Petrelli in the Oval Office. We already kinda figured Mama Petrelli wouldn’t be winning any Mother of the Year awards but makes you wonder why TV Guide needed to remind us of that fact.

As for the last one regarding Hiro and Ando - it was kinda obvious they’d save them for last since the following episode is set in the future. However we’d like to speculate that the reference to “whatever happened to” is most likely in reference to Molly Walker (the little girl who survived Sylar back in Chapter 2 and 3) - based on the solution to Hiro’s puzzle on his blog, Molly has been hiding out with Future Hiro (I wonder what she can do).

EDIT: Comments from Ausiello

Niki has something Linderman wants. (No, not that. Well, maybe that, too.) Oh, and something very, very important to The Company can be found in New York City.

Guess Who’s Coming Back and a Sylar Backstory

Two characters we thought were dead and done with are coming back during the season finale. One we’ve already been given hints to and is, as you no doubt figured out, Simone - and with an ability to boot. But the real shocker is Simone’s dad Charles Deveaux is returning as well. Here’s what Kristin had to say:

Sources tell me that Tawny Cypress, who plays Simone, is—drum roll, please—not off the show for good. Far from it! I’m told that even though she was “killed,” Simone is coming back, along with her father (Peter’s patient), in the season finale. It turns out she has abilities of her own, and as my source put it, “There are people on the positive and negative side. And Simone is on the negative side.” Oh, and according to another source, “[Simone and her father] may have some ties to some other characters that we had no idea about before.”

Not sure how I feel about Simone having an ability - especially when we were specifically told she would NEVER have an ability.

Kristin also mentions that Kring says we will get to see some back story for Sylar in Chapter 21 “The Hard Part” that may actually make us think differently about him.

According to Heroes creator Tim Kring, “We learn about his home life and where he came from, and after that episode, your opinion of him may change.”
