Beeman Drops Minor Hints About Deveaux

I get the feeling that the Deveaux Society is gonna be brought into the storyline really soon. There was already hints of it this past Monday’s episode when Peter find’s Claude feeding pigeons on the rooftop of the Deveaux Building, the same one he worked in taking care of Simone’s father Charles Deveaux.

There’s not much in the way of spoilers in Beeman’s blog for The Fix but I was able to pick up on this little bit about the building which tells of it’s importance:

We also built a new major set for the series, which makes its debut in this episode. It is the rooftop of the Deveaux building. That’s right, the rooftop of the building where Simone’s father lived and died and where Peter first met Simone.

In upcoming episodes this will be scene in the past, the present and the future. In it’s glory, in mild disrepair and in destruction. Of course, the Deveaux roof is in downtown Manhattan – so how do we achieve its look?

Tonight - Chapter 13 “The Fix”

Tonight’s the night when NBC airs the much anticipated episode of Heroes where George Tekai makes his debut as Kaito Nakamura - Hiro’s rich father. We also get some great scenes as Claude reluctantly takes Peter under his wing - Peter has no idea what he’s in for.

Anyways TV Guide Online (courtesy of SpoilerFix) had this snippet from Tekai about his character Kaito.

George Takei reveals: Mr. Nakamura, who is one of the world’s wealthiest men, arrives with his bodyguards in a $450,000 car. He wants to bring his irresponsible son back to Japan. Hiro has mysteriously vanished to the United States, and that is intolerable! He has a need for appropriate defenses because there are evil people in the world - people who will kidnap rich men, or their children, and hold them for ransom. My character is very old school and believes in learning the business from the bottom up. He was brought up that way by his father, and he wants his son raised that way, too. That is why, when the series began, you first saw Hiro working in a cubicle. The Nakamuras are members of a long and very important Japanese dynasty. In ancient times we were in the shogun class. An old powerful family of the Japanese aristocracy would certainly have family treasures, and that could include a sword…. Only samurai were allowed to carry swords, and the upper echelon had the best of the swords, so therefore they became heirlooms.

Makes you wonder what those heirlooms are - I wonder if Linderman bought it from Kaito?

Spoiler Roundup - The Fix and More…

Looks like the spoiler flow has slowed back down to normal a bit after the flood of spoilers we had on Monday and Tuesday. However, pretty much most of the spoilers today were in the more entertaining media format - lets start from the top:

HEROESTHESERIES.COM AND IESB.NET

Sam over at Heroes The Series alerted his readers to a nice behind the scenes clip over at IESB.net (you can view it HERE). It’s got some great stuff in it and includes some of the first footage seen of George Tekai as Kaito Nakamura.

Kaito is seen getting out of a rather nice silver and expensive looking car. A black van pulls up and you hear Hiro on the inside exclaim “Papa?!” in Japanese. If you remember the series of previews shown in December and early January, we saw some goons chasing down Hiro and Ando in a parking garage. It’s the same van from the previews so it looks like they work for Hiro’s dad. Afterwards Masi and George share a nice “Star Trek” moment during a photo-shoot.

Also in the clip we see Claude and Peter shooting a scene on a rooftop. Before hand they look to be rehearsing Claude tossing Peter off the roof and saying “FLY!”. In addition there appears to be a bit of conflict between them (man I’m really loving the dynamic between these two) as they discuss the aftermath of having spied on Simone and Isaac having dinner together. I seem to remember another spoiler that says Peter’s faith in those around him change as a result of training with Claude. He feels Peter is naive and is trying to open his eyes to how people think about him when he’s not around.

HEROSITE.NET

HeroSite posted some great pictures today from Chapter Fourteen Distractions (check them out HERE). There’s some good spoilers buried in those pics… Ok, some jump right out at you and include: Sylar wearing a PrimaTech Paper uniform and Jessalyn Gilsig as Claire’s bio-mom Meredith (nothing revealing her powers though).

THE AUSIELLO REPORT

As you may remember, yesterday Michael Ausiello broke news about a new female character debuting in Chapter Eighteen named Faith that will be played by Missy Peregrym - a female temptress who “wields a tremendous amount of sex appeal” and is willing to “get her hands dirty” for her employer. He promised that today he’d give us a clue to what her powers are in the form of one of his famous asterisk cryptograms. Here ya go, speculate away:

Ausiello: As promised, here’s a hint about the special power that Missy Peregrym’s new character possesses: It takes what **** ********’* **** can do and ratchets it up a notch.

This one isn’t easy folks and I’ve seen only a handful of guesses which include: “Greg Grunberg’s Matt” and “Nora Zehetner’s Eden”. Both very good guesses and I’m liking the last one as she’s probably the replacement for Eden.

Clip - The Fix - Claude and Peter

Over at HeroesTheSeries.com vmarti1 (GOOD CATCH) has pointed the way to a nice clip of Peter and Claude talking about training. Claude is definately a little reluctant and I’m certainly reminded a bit of Yoda and Luke. Peter says he can handle the training, Claude responds with “Thats what they all say”. They? sounds like he used to be a trainer of some sort. Best line is from Claude though “You might want to reconsider dying!”

UPDATE: There’s actually now a total of FIVE (yes, FIVE) clips from The Fix posted on TV.Com, thanks for the update vmarti1.

  • Suresh pleads with Nathan to help him find Peter.
  • Claire asks the Haitian if her real parents are still alive.
  • Claude offers to teach Peter how to control his abilities.
  • D.L. visits Nikki at the asylum and tries to convince her that she should escape.
  • Matt tries to tell his wife that H.R.G. is responcible for all his abilities.
  • H.R.G. orders the doctors to keep Sylar alive as long as possible.

Two Previews for The Fix

YouTubers pull through with not just the US version but the Canadian version of the preview for Chapter Thirteen - The Fix. The Canadian versions are always a bit better because they tend to show a little more than the US versions and this time around is no different. Note, these are the previews that were shown at the end of Chapter Twelve - Godsend.

In addition, there’s a few screen grabs of the Hana meets Ted teaser that aired at 8:25p during Deal or No Deal (instead of the advertised 8:30p). As soon as someone get’s the teaser up on YouTube, Deveaux is gonna hook you folks up!
