Spoiler Roundup - February 21
February 21, 2007

Hiya readers, sorry I’ve been a little backed up this week. Plus I wanted to wait for Ausiello’s comments on the interesting conflict of dates regarding Simone’s death in Chapter 16 instead of Chapter 18. I’ve also seen some interesting remarks from Kristin on the subject. So lets first begin with Ausiello because we all know someone was bound to have asked him the burning question:
Question: Why did Simone die on Monday’s Heroes? Didn’t you say the big death would occur on Mar. 5?— Rachel Stern
Ausiello: That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. (Spoiler alert!) Feb. 19 is when she got shot; Mar. 5 is when she dies.
I had two theories (because I never doubted Ausiello, he’s rarely wrong) - 1, the above reason; or 2, changes in the editing room to move the sequence earlier for sweeps.
Now a lot of people have been confusing Ausiello’s death spoilers with Kristins when in fact (and suspected as much) they seem to relate to two separate deaths in the series. Of course in another spoiler, we were told there would be two major deaths: one near the end of sweeps and another near the end of the season. Lets look at Kristin’s latest and you can formulate your own theories (which would be great to take to the forums hint hint):
But the most important thing you need to know is that the death of Simone, aka Tawny Cypress, is not the “death of a Hero” that I have been teasing. There were two deaths in store for the current episode arc, and the second is yet to come.
As I’ve mentioned before, this death is someone whom you’d think they couldn’t kill off because of his or her ability.
Nothing conflicting right? In fact if you look at all the spoilers relating to the remaining deaths this season they really do add up as long as you keep Kristin’s death separate from Ausiello’s death that is. Our money is riding on Isaac - he still has a date with Sylar over some fava beans and a nice chiante.
Anyways, if you’re confused about what Ausiello said about Simone’s death (and really, its not that confusing other than the fact that she actually looked like she died in Peter’s arms) - USA Today has an interview with Tawny Cypress from the aftermath of Simone’s death which will leave you confused further (I love keeping people on their toes):
There is some good news for Cypress: She certainly won’t be going hungry. The single mom to son Dexter, 6, has a new boyfriend: restaurateur Tom Dillon, who “is the love of my life.” And she’s set to make at least two more appearances on Heroes, one of which is the show’s two-hour finale, set to shoot at the end of March.
So she makes an appearance in the two hour season finale (wait, did they say TWO HOURS OF HEROES!?) - my guess is it’s gonna involve Hiro or Peter utilizing Hiro’s power.
In other news, via a great on set interview by the folks over at UGO, we have official confirmation that Eric Roberts is indeed playing Thompson, an OWI recruiter (as he puts it). He makes his debut in the next episode Chapter 17 Company Man. During the ordeal at the Bennet house (which you read the comics you’ll know that Hana is not present with Matt and Ted - she’s off looking for HRG’s superiors and ends up in Vegas - let the speculations fly) it looks like Teddy goes boom and the house catches on fire. Thompson comes strolling in wearing a flame retardant suit and pulls everyone out. As of this writing, the link to the source at UGO is not working (technical issues with their database it appears). However fan extraordinaire HERO managed to capture the whole thing and has posted it over at Heroes The Series for your reading pleasure.
Lastly here’s the YouTube capture of the preview for Company Man shown at the end of Unexpected (yes it’s the annoying Windows Vista version - I am definately getting a Mac now. Also note that so far this week the Canadian version from Global TV is MIA):

Update: Our new friends over at HeroesInfo.com have provided us with a working link to the UGO article mentioned above. All of the referring links here have been updated. Be sure to check out Heroes Info, which has tons of Heroes news in general.
